Jenny is one of the most professional, enthusiastic and motivated mentors that I have had the pleasure to work with. She has been working with two of our students and the difference she has made to their self-belief is amazing. The girls have gone from strength to strength and have developed a positive mind-set. Nothing is too much trouble and Jenny really puts the young people at the heart of everything she does and they know this. Students left an assembly that Jenny presented feeling that they could achieve anything with hard work, determination and resilience.
I’ve known and worked with Adam for the last ten years. In this time, he has written some fantastic programmes, tackling a variety of challenging and important issues. The most recent is a leadership programme, here in Northern Ireland, working with hard to reach young people in areas of deprivation in Belfast. This programme addresses the issues around disaffected young people, divided communities, sectarianism and building positive relations. The programme was written with the end user and programme outcomes in mind and has made a considerable impact. Adam has a real understanding of and empathy with young people and his work with them has produced amazing result
Jenny Wallwork visited Campsmount Academy last year delivering a project to improve the confidence and self-esteem of a selection of young people who were lacking in that department. The impact Jenny had with these students were absolutely outstanding. The students had the utmost respect for Jenny and they began to create positive bonds with Jenny and their peers in the project groups, which some students had struggled to do previously. Through the relationship Jenny developed with these students they were able to work in a group towards an end goal of delivering a range of activities to younger students. Jenny gave the project group the confidence they needed to achieve and provided them with outstanding support throughout. In a short space of time the students grew in self-belief and confidence which resulted in them delivering a range of activities to younger students with high quality. I can firmly say that without The Now Project the students in question wouldn’t have been able to complete that task. The experience was one that the students will not forget and one that developed their confidence and self-esteem greatly. We all at Campsmount really appreciate the work you completed with the project group, you certainly improved many aspects of their life. We look forward to working with Jenny again soon
Jenny visited Springwell Academy at Burley Park to work with a group of pupils with a variety of SEMH concerns. As soon as she arrived the pupils were engaged with her background as an international athlete and someone who had battled with an eating disorder and depression. Once outside Jenny gauged the level of the pupils immediately and was able to cater a variety of levels of performance and to include all abilities. The pupils quickly became immersed in activity and were developing competition and seeing success from the outset.Jenny was able to move the pupils on and to diversify when required to keep them interested and on task. We look forward to working with Jenny again in the future.
